Job Summary:

The Acquisition Training & Performance Coach is responsible for providing dedicated training, coaching, and performance support to the Acquisition Department. This role focuses on developing role-specific knowledge, skills, processes, and behaviors required for successful performance across Acquisition functions. The role is responsible for delivering Acquisition-specific training, facilitating onboarding and refresher sessions, identifying capability gaps, and providing ongoing coaching to improve contractor performance, quality, productivity, and adherence to established processes and standards.

What You’ll Do:

Training Program Design & Development

  • Design and develop engaging training programs, modules, and materials aligned with Acquisition operational goals and requirements.

  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.

  • Customize learning solutions based on Acquisition business needs, role requirements, and competency gaps.

  • Develop practical learning activities, assessments, and knowledge checks to reinforce understanding and application.

  • Update training materials and resources when Acquisition processes, systems, tools, or SOPs change.

  • Identify recurring knowledge gaps and develop appropriate training interventions.

    Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Facilitate instructor-led and virtual training sessions for contractors within the Acquisition Department.

  • Ensure high-quality delivery and participant engagement.

  • Coach and support facilitators/trainers as needed.

  • Conduct onboarding, process training, refresher training, and upskilling sessions specific to Acquisition functions.

  • Provide additional training or remediation to contractors who require further support.

  • Support newly trained contractors during their transition into production.

    Performance Coaching

  • Provide individual and group coaching to Acquisition contractors to support continuous performance improvement.

  • Review performance results, quality findings, productivity data, and other relevant metrics to identify coaching opportunities.

  • Provide timely, constructive, and actionable feedback to contractors.

  • Develop coaching or performance improvement plans for contractors who require additional support.

  • Monitor progress following coaching interventions and provide follow-up coaching as needed.

  • Reinforce correct processes, behaviors, and best practices through continuous coaching.

  • Recognize strong performance and encourage continuous development among high-performing contractors.

  • Partner with Acquisition Team Leads to support performance improvement while maintaining clear accountability within the operational leadership structure.

    Training Needs Analysis & Capability Assessment

  • Conduct training needs assessments within the Acquisition Department.

  • Collaborate with Acquisition Team Leads to identify recurring performance issues that may be addressed through training or coaching.

  • Analyze performance trends to determine whether gaps are related to knowledge, skills, process understanding, or execution.

  • Recommend appropriate training and coaching interventions based on identified needs.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen role readiness, competency, and overall team capability.

  • Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Measure training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.

  • Continuously improve programs based on evaluation results.

  • Evaluate whether training and coaching interventions result in improvements in quality, productivity, accuracy, and process adherence.

  • Identify recurring performance trends and recommend improvements to training content, coaching strategies, or operational processes.

  • Work with Acquisition leadership to address recurring knowledge, skill, and performance gaps.

  • Recommend improvements to onboarding, training, coaching, and knowledge reinforcement processes.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with the Acquisition Operations Team Lead and Acquisition Team Leads to align learning initiatives with Acquisition operational priorities and performance goals.

  • Provide recommendations to Acquisition leadership regarding capability gaps and performance development opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Acquisition stakeholders to support process changes, new initiatives, and operational improvements requiring training or coaching.

  • Support Acquisition initiatives that require training, coaching, or capability development.

    Learning Administration & Reporting

  • Track training attendance, completion, and effectiveness.

  • Maintain accurate training records and generate reports.

  • Track coaching activities, performance improvement interventions, and competency outcomes.

  • Prepare reports on training participation, competency results, coaching activities, and performance trends.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Acquisition training materials and documentation.

  • Provide management with insights and recommendations based on training and coaching data.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, or related field.

  • Experience:

  • At least 7 years of experience in Learning and Development, Training, Coaching, Operations Training, or a related field.

  • Approximately 3–5 years of relevant Sales experience, preferably with BPO or outbound Sales experience. Relevant Sales experience and demonstrated capability are highly preferred given the operational requirements of the role.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of instructional design models

  • Experience in creating learning modules, facilitator guides, and e-learning content

  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Ability to analyze training metrics, completion rates, and effectiveness reports

  • Familiarity with survey and assessment tools for learning evaluation.

  • Strong understanding of Sales processes and customer engagement, with the ability to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Ability to audit and review customer calls and assess areas such as confidence, engagement, probing, active listening, and adherence to established processes and standards.
