Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will support the Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS) team under People & Culture by providing accurate, timely, and actionable performance insights. This role will be responsible for generating attendance and schedule reports, maintaining dashboards, and consolidating data to track overall Community Minerals performance, beyond just PCO metrics.

As an entry-to-intermediate-level role, the BI Analyst will focus on building dashboards, preparing performance and attendance reports, and assisting in performance appraisal tasks. This position offers an opportunity to grow expertise in business intelligence and performance reporting while playing a vital role in enabling leadership to make data-driven decisions.

Job Description:

  • Dashboard Development & Reporting
    - Design, update, and maintain dashboards that provide clear visibility into company-wide and departmental performance.
    - Prepare regular performance reports aligned with the SPMS framework.
    - Present data in easy-to-understand visuals and reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Performance & Attendance Tracking
    - Generate and distribute daily attendance and schedule reports for leadership.
    - Tag and monitor unplanned activities and approval statuses in the Community Performance Outlook.
    - Track and report on KPIs to support performance monitoring across teams.

  • Data Collection, Validation & Compliance
    - Extract, validate, and consolidate data from multiple sources (e.g., TeamLogger, Jotform, HRIS).
    - Ensure data accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with company standards.

  • Collaboration & SPMS Support
    - Partner with People & Culture, department heads, and the Dashboard Developer to align reporting with company goals.
    - Assist in SPMS-related reporting, Skills Gap analysis, and performance appraisal processes.
    - Provide ongoing support to performance management initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Experience:

    - 2–3 years of solid experience creating dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
    - Prior experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or performance reporting.

  • Education:

    - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills:

    - Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) for reporting and analysis.
    - Ability to collect, validate, and consolidate data from multiple sources (TeamLogger, Jotform, HRIS, SharePoint).
    - Basic knowledge of SQL or other query languages (preferred but not required).
    - Familiarity with performance dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting.

  • Soft Skills:

    - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
    - Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    - Time management skills to meet daily, weekly, and monthly reporting deadlines.
    - Collaboration and teamwork mindset when working with People & Culture, recruiters, department heads, and dashboard developers.

  • Industry Knowledge:

    - Basic understanding of performance management frameworks (e.g., KPIs, scorecards, Skills Gap Analysis, SPMS).
    - Exposure to HR operations and reporting processes (attendance tracking, recruitment data, appraisal systems).
    - Awareness of business intelligence best practices in reporting, data visualization, and data integrity.

  • Competencies and Attributes:

    - Organized and able to handle multiple tasks and reporting cycles simultaneously.
