Job Summary:

The IT Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the company’s IT support and security functions. This role ensures reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations that safeguard business continuity, protect organizational data, and provide responsive end-user support. The IT Supervisor focuses on infrastructure stability, cybersecurity, incident management, compliance, and helpdesk operations—driving operational excellence and ensuring that IT services meet organizational needs.

Job Description:

  • IT Support & Operations
    - Lead the IT support team, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and high levels of user satisfaction.
    - Oversee the day-to-day management of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, endpoints, and cloud services.
    - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
    - Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
    - Ensure regular backups and periodic testing of recovery systems.

  • Cybersecurity & Compliance
    - Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect company data and systems.
    - Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and security audits.
    - Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
    - Oversee incident response planning, execution, and reporting.
    - Train staff on security awareness and best practices.

  • Vendor & Asset Management
    - Manage vendor relationships and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure reliable IT services.
    - Oversee procurement, deployment, and maintenance of IT hardware, software, and security tools.
    - Track IT assets to ensure proper lifecycle management and compliance with licensing agreements.

  • Leadership & Training
    - Supervise IT support staff, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
    - Develop and improve IT support processes and escalation workflows.
    - Provide training sessions and resources to enhance end-user knowledge on IT security and system use.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Experience:

    - With at least 3 years of experience in a LEADERSHIP ROLE, specifically in IT Support and IT Security.

  • Education:

    - With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills:

    - Proficiency in managing Windows, Linux, and cloud-based environments (e.g., Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure).
    - Strong knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security tools.
    - Hands-on experience with network management (LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless).
    - Backup and disaster recovery planning and execution.
    - Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
    - Security monitoring and incident response tools (e.g., SIEM solutions).

  • Soft Skills:

    - Strong leadership and team management skills.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    - Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
    - Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure and manage multiple escalations.
    - Strong sense of accountability and follow-through.

  • Industry Knowledge:

    - IT support frameworks and service desk operations.
    - Cybersecurity standards and frameworks
    - Best practices in IT asset management and vendor management.
    - Awareness of emerging IT security threats and countermeasures.
