Job Summary:
The Title Analyst will be responsible for evaluating the title ownership of real property in the United States. Strong preference for the role to be filled with someone who has a legal research and diligence background. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the title industry and eager to contribute their expertise to our growing organization.
Job Description:
Conduct comprehensive research to trace the chain of ownership and rights of mineral properties, examining deeds, leases, land records, and relevant legal documents.
Identify potential title issues, such as encumbrances, liens, conflicting claims, or missing documents, and assess their impact on mineral acquisition.
Generate essential legal documents, including title reports, ownership summaries, and transfer documents, to support the acquisition process.
Prepare Exhibits and Summarized Legal Descriptions, including plotting of legal descriptions (platted metes and bounds, sectional properties)
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of any bachelor's degree
Experience: 1-3 years of in-depth experience with Title Research of real property in the United States
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CRM Software
Strong analytical skills for reviewing and interpreting legal documents, deeds, leases, and land records
Proficient in MS Suite or Google Workspace
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships
Strong Problem-solving and the ability to recommend and facilitate the resolution of title issues
Strong analytical skills for reviewing and interpreting mineral property titles, deeds, leases, and legal documents.
Attention to detail and accuracy in conducting research and documenting findings
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
Industry Knowledge:
Basic understanding and knowledge of the real estate industry would be advantageous
Basic understanding of mineral rights and property law, with a focus on mineral title examination and issues
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in mineral acquisition.
Familiarity with common terms and concepts specific to mineral titles and rights.
